Video Reel
From January 2024 to present, I served as a Video Producer for Sporting Kansas City, initially joining the team as an intern before transitioning to a seasonal associate role. Both positions were treated the same as a full time associate position. During my tenure, I had the opportunity to film significant events, including a match at Arrowhead Stadium against Inter Miami CF, the team featuring Lionel Messi. I also got the opportunity to create a lot of content for Apple. I gained extensive experience working with Sony cameras, including the FX3 and FX6, as well as Blackmagic cameras. Additionally, I utilized equipment such as the Ronin 4D and ARRI cameras. My role also provided me with numerous opportunities to shoot in studios, learn to operate sound equipment, and film community events, as well as press conferences in both hybrid and in-person formats. Although I had limited experience with soccer prior to this position, I quickly adapted and began managing filming, producing, and editing projects independently within two weeks of starting my internship. My reel highlights my skills and experiences, and I have included additional projects completed for Sporting Kansas City to further demonstrate my expertise.
Below is one of the many match trailers I produce for Apple TV. Each match day we would have to have a match trailer for our team. I love to bring the energy in these videos and to get people excited. I rely heavily on sound design to create different emotions in these. Mostly excitement.
Below are 2 of the Mic'd up series videos that I went completely solo on. For filming, they wanted a more personal, vlog feel so I opted out of using a gimbal for stabilizing. I made sure to create a connection with both Benny and Olivia and helped guide what they'd talk about to keep my production plan somewhat on track. While doing that I also gave them a lot of free rein time to let their personalities really shine. For Benny's video, It was retro night for children mercy park so I really embraced the hand hold filming to kind of get the cam corder shake but the Sony Fx3 quality. Best of both worlds was the goal on that one.
Below are 2 preseason reels I created for Instagram and Tik Tok. These were projects I edited and did not film. In the editing process I captioned the videos, created graphics, and made sure the short storyline flowed properly.
Below is a drone video I put together, and for the majority of the season, it was used as the ticket link for home match sales. Sadly I am not certified to fly drones so I did not capture this footage myself. This project for me was post production only.
Projects I completed for Kanakuk Kamps are private to the organization, but I have the. ability to request access to them if they are something you would like to see. Kanakuk Kamps is a very well know Christian sports camp. There was a lot of high action filming and fast paced edits involved.
Below are 2 highlight reels I made for The Pitt State Baseball team. They asked for minimalistic (no graphics).
Above is a short reel I made for The Pitt State GIT social media pages. Shot on an iPhone.
